Our Projects
At GCFC, our projects go beyond the ground. From pioneering youth leagues to organizing large-scale futsal festivals and coaching certification programs, each initiative is designed to grow the game and create lasting impact. These projects reflect our commitment to community development, grassroots empowerment, and the long-term growth of football in Assam.

Greater Guwahati Baby League (GGBL)
The Greater Guwahati Baby League (GGBL) is Assam’s first structured youth football league for children aged 4 to 13. Launched by GCFC, the league has successfully completed three seasons, engaging over 2,000 young players across 150 teams. GGBL provides a fun, inclusive, and competitive environment that nurtures early talent, instills love for the game, and builds a strong grassroots foundation for football in the region. It stands as a model for youth development and community-driven sport in Northeast India.

Guwahati Futsal Festival
The Guwahati Futsal Festival is GCFC’s flagship futsal event and the first of its kind in Assam. Designed as a premier professional competition, it brings together over 80 teams and 2,000 players from across the region. The festival offers a high-energy platform for players to showcase their speed, skill, and strategy in a fast-paced format. With electrifying matches, professional setups, and wide participation, the festival has become a celebration of talent and sportsmanship in Northeast India.

So far, GCFC has successfully conducted 2 AIFF E Certificate Courses, 4 AIFF D Certificate Courses, and 1 AFC C Certificate Course. These programs equip aspiring coaches with essential skills and knowledge, strengthening the coaching ecosystem in Assam and contributing to the game’s growth from the ground up.
